Happy 60th to my mom...

So we're back from Fremont. Fresh off a 4-day jaunt to the Bay Area to reveal a HUGE surprise to my mother: a big 60th birthday bash! She had no idea. It was a magical night. Nearly 100 of her closest family and friends gathered with us last Saturday to surprise her with a night of food, fun, and fond memories. My sister Emi flew in from LA and we flew in from the OC, which we also kept secret, so when we showed up at a birthday dinner for her the night before the party, she was floored. Let me tell you though, it was quite the planning process to put this whole party together with my sisters and my dad. Then on top of that, we had to keep it a secret from my mom, who is the kind of person that you have a hard time keeping secrets from. =0) I have pix and will upload them later. We put together a slideshow for the evening and she loved it. Here's one pic from the collection: it's her passport photo from her college years. What a beautiful woman!
