Lots of expressions

Miko caught Leila today smiling for the camera. She has become very sociable lately, with lots of smiles and sounds expressing her mood. Miko bought her a new chair. Leila seems to like it very much. It is adjustable to 4 different levels of seating, even one that lowers her enough for her to nap. She doesn't do much of that, but when she does, we are very happy.

Winter Weather

Our local mountains in South Orange County received quite a bit of snow this winter. Here is a shot from Western Digital's offices, overlooking Nakase Brothers nursery on Bake Pkwy.

It is at the lowest elevations I have seen since I have lived here. (2000 foot level)
I cannot wait for Leila to understand how cold it was during her first Christmas!

2 months old!

Leila is 2 months old already!

She had her doctor's appointment last Friday.

Here's the stats:
Weight: 12 lbs, 3 oz
Length: 24 inches
Head Circumference: 16 inches

She had a bunch of shots, and it was a good thing Dad and Mom were both there, because goodness, she was mad. What a set of lungs this girl has on her!

She is thankfully doing very well, praise the Lord. She is smiling all the time now at us, and is becoming more vocal by the day. She also loves her activity gym, and is now swiping/batting at the toys, rather than just looking at them. We are very thankful for her swing too, because she seems to really like it the older she gets.
