Newborn photo shoot!
Linley is just over 1 month old, and growing fast! I measured her earlier today and she is just about 11.5 lbs and 23 inches long.
I am doing my best to keep up with both of the girls, but it's tough. Leila likes to run rather than walk, and is able to get into things much easier than before. She is starting to talk more, in addition to her sign language, and loves to play outside with push toys, brooms, and her Little Tikes pink car. The weather has been super warm this week. My mom visited today so I was able to take Leila swimming for the first time since last summer. Mom kept watch over Linley as I took my little Leila into the pool and gosh, she's a little fish! She got upset with me when I told her it was time to go home =0).
We are blessed to have neighbors with children Leila's age that have become great playmates for her. We often visit neighbors' houses to play or walk to the local park for playdates. I got a double jogging stroller that fits Linley's infant car seat so I've been able to jog a few miles every morning with the girls and Nalu. I can only get so far though before one of them is unhappy and then I do my best to race home before one of them is beyond consolable. When I had the single jogger I thought it was huge but this double one is side-by-side rather than tandem, and takes up probably 90% of the sidewalk. Luckily the neighbors and local residents sidestep us graciously when we are headed towards them.
We had Lori and Keith ( http://www.loriandersonphoto.com/ ) come to our house for a newborn photo shoot for Linley. We also got some pix of the girls together in matching outfits. Here's a sample of the shots. More to come!
