Mammoth 2009

In honor of Eric's upcoming wedding, we took a manly man's trip to Mammoth Lakes. I had never been, and after returning, I vow to go again. What a trip! We packed in so many activities into one weekend. 2 solid hikes, 4 hours of trout fishing, and some friendly games of poker.

Comic Con 2009

Our friend Chris took me to my first Comic Con. He is a 8 year veteran. (he admits this proudly) I had the best person to guide me through my first experience at Comic Con. What an experience...it definitely has a mainstream appeal to it, lots of popular movies, video games and tv shows are featured here. There are some very detailed costumes that some people show up with. I came to the conclusion that Comic Con is a place where ordinary people can be celebrities for a day. I can see why this is such a popular convention. See pictures of Chris with these "celebrities".

First official swim lesson

We took Leila to her first official swim lesson this past weekend. She had a wonderful time. Her grandpa, uncle, and aunt all joined us for the fun day. We are so thankful for our family that love her and are a part of special memories such as this.
